“Because by planting trees, we can reduce pollution and increase carbon absorption and increase oxygen levels in the air,” he said, adding that the greening activity has become the company’s routine agenda every year.

Unlike the usual greening pattern, Mr. Manshur Dwi Bekti explained that the tree planting movement this time also has economic value. This means that the trees planted are productive plants that have economic value to be utilized for their fruits.

“We hope that the seedlings given to the community can be planted in their respective homes, then taken care of properly. God willing, these plants can provide benefits and economic value in the future,” said Mr. Manshur.

Lurah Langgam thanked EMP Bentu Limited for once again proving its concern for the community around the company’s operational area. In addition to caring about environmental sustainability, the Lurah also gave appreciation to the company for running the company’s CSR program in the field of convection and is now running.

“Thank you to EMP Bentu for building and fostering Langgam MSMEs, namely Seroja Convection. The company has facilitated the provision of offices, electricity and sewing machines. We hope that after receiving training from EMP Bentu, the existence of this convection will grow so that it can increase the community’s economy,” said Mr. Harlis.

Prior to the planting ceremony at the Lurah Office and KUA Langgam, the company handed over hundreds of tree seedlings and productive plants symbolically received by the village head, community leaders and other stakeholders.

The tree seedlings included 120 durian, 80 mango and 50 longan. In addition, hundreds of protective plants such as ketapang kencana, trambesi and tabe buya.

After the planting, staff from EMP Bentu Limited’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Division, Mr. Hamdani, provided education on the benefits of reforestation activities for the community.
