PT Energi Mega Persada (EMP) Tunas Energi planted hundreds of tree seedlings and productive plants in Buluh Nipis Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, Monday, October 30, 2023. Previously, the company provided education about greening to village officials and invitees who attended.
The activity was held at the Buluh Nipis Village Office. The Head of Buluh Nipis Village Mr. Zamri S, Babinsa Buluh Nipis Mr. Z ButarButar, Bhabinkabtibmas Buluh Nipis Mr. Adi, Datuk Maha Raja Besar Mr. Suardi, BPD Buluh Nipis Mr. Andrian, and a number of local community leaders were present. Energi Mega Persada management was attended by Act External & Internal Relation Coordinator, Mr. Manshur Dwi, and Security Manager, Mr. Ferizal.

In his speech, Mr. Manshur Dwi Bekti said that EMP has a program related to environmental management performance assessment from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). Thus, this reforestation activity has become a routine agenda carried out both internally and externally such as the EMP work area.
The Head of Buluh Nipis Village, Mr. Zamri S in his speech thanked the company for caring about reforestation and nature conservation. He hopes that this activity can be carried out regularly in the following years.
Furthermore, EMP’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Division, Mr. Hamdani provided education about the benefits of reforestation activities for the community. He said that trees are the lungs of the world. Therefore, by planting trees, we are helping to save the world.
After the education, PT EMP Tunas Energi handed over hundreds of tree seeds and productive plants, namely 75 durian seeds, 75 mango seeds, 30 ketapang kencana seeds and 30 cape flower seeds. The plants were symbolically handed over to the Head of Buluh Nipis Village.
Then from the village head’s office, the group walked to the Puteri Sulung Traditional House which is about 100 meters away. At this location, representatives of EMP management, Buluh Nipis Village Head, Buluh Nipis Community Police Chief, Buluh Nipis Babinsa and community leaders planted trees.*
